Family Photography Flagstaff: The Fisher Family

I’ve grown to love family sessions because each one is always a little different than the last. I love capturing the interactions between family members and getting a chance to photograph their unique dynamics. Capturing the love and energy in the air helps me tell your family’s story, and it is truly a pleasure to do so. Family sessions can seem stressful at first, especially with young kids. Often, parents worry about getting their kids to sit still and smile formally, but I’ve found that the most-cherished family photos are those where everyone is being themselves and having a good time. For this reason, I get a few “traditional” photos with everyone smiling and looking straight into the camera, but I try to spend most of the session capturing the real dynamic of your family. Whether this looks like parents playing with their kids, siblings interacting, or letting everyone goof around with each other, these photos have such an authentic feeling to them.

This session in particular was full of energy and lots of smiles despite the rainy weather. The beautiful wildflowers of a Flagstaff summer offered some lovely pops of color amidst the yellow fields and cloudy skies. These two were such a genuine pleasure to work with and photograph and capturing their personalities was a blast.

For families looking to have a great time and capture everlasting memories, booking a professional photographer can be so important as your kids continue to grow and change. Whether family photos are an annual event or if it’s been a while, I highly recommend booking a session to look back on for the years to come.
